Dumbarton Academy is a non-denominational secondary school in the town of Dumbarton in West Dunbartonshire. Our catchment area covers the whole of the town of Dumbarton and Milton. We have excellent relationships with our four associated primary schools: Aitkenbar Primary School, Braehead Primary School , Dalreoch Primary School and Knoxland Primary School.
Our school roll has increased over the last few years; it is currently 695; we anticipate that this will continue to increase in the next few years. Our young people are organised into 4 Houses named after areas of local significance (Clyde, Fruin, Leven, Luss). Each PT Pastoral Care is Head of House for approximately a quarter of our pupils, with all siblings being allocated to the same house.
